USGA Golf Rules Illustrated 2016 - Official Golf Guide for Players & Referees

Pretty clear explanations, although some are obtuse due to the way the rules are written. They assume you know something about the rules and jargon already, not a lot, but something. Not every last thing is explained. There are fun sidebars where they describe how a rule or rules were used in perhaps a bizarre situation, like Tiger Woods' ball bouncing on the sidewalk, over a building, into a cup on a groundskeeper's cart, which he then drove away with. Also fun photos, like Fred Couples in a tree. The book is much too large to take with you in your bag, so you need to look for a pocket edition if you want to do that. Otherwise well done and up to date as of now, I believe. Don't quote me.
